Who We Are – Agriware
Who are we?
Founded by Daniel Hellgren-Derry in late 2025, Agriware Ltd is a UK agricultural technology startup. Dan has five years of hands-on experience in agricultural machinery industry, starting his career as a part-time tractor mechanic, at George Browns, in 2021 while studying Economics at the University of Buckingham. After graduating in 2022, he worked full-time as a mechanic until he was promoted to Service Manager in 2023. He later became Foreman at Browns Agricultural Machinery until redundancy in March 2025. Daniel combines real workshop knowledge with a clear vision for better farm operations.
What do we do?
We build software and monitoring tools for modern farming and groundcare. Our current products are Agriware OPS and DMS. Ops helps manage machine usage, hours tracking, scheduling and costs. DMS streamlines repairs, parts inventory and machine history for workshops. Current R&D projects include the Sentinel and Cortex systems which will provide real-time predictive maintenance, starting with implements such as muck spreaders and balers. The goal is to remove mechanical failures and maximise uptime where it matters most.
When did we start?
Agriware Ltd was incorporated on 13th November 2025 (Company Number 16853604), but the idea came in early 2025, when Dan was working in machinery workshops and saw the same problems every day: breakdowns, poor records, and high software costs.
Why do we do it?
I’ve seen the struggles up close.
As a mechanic and later service manager in agricultural workshops, I dealt with the same problems every day: machines breaking down without warning, records scattered across notebooks and spreadsheets, and customers scrambling when compliance departments ask for proof of maintenance. One missing service log or forgotten inspection could turn a routine job into a serious headache.
That’s why I started Agriware. We exist to make machinery smarter, operations safer and jobs easier. So you can focus on the day to day.
By building tools that centralise records, track hours automatically, schedule maintenance, and give clear visibility, breakdowns become preventable, compliance is effortless, and the people running farms and workshops can focus on the work instead of the worry.
Farm safety isn’t a buzzword to us. It’s the reason we do this.
